- Selecting a safe speed and resistance
- Monitoring how you feel
- Pausing or stopping when necessary
- Obtaining professional medical advice where appropriate
Please read the separate Health and Fitness Disclaimer before beginning a workout.
7. Workout information
JEBA may provide presets, timers, workout prompts, ride summaries, streaks and estimated statistics.
These features are general tools and may not be completely accurate or suitable for every person. JEBA cannot monitor your physical condition, equipment, technique or environment.
You should not rely solely on JEBA’s timer, notifications or audio prompts to make decisions concerning your safety.
8. Custom workouts
Signed-in users may be permitted to create, edit and delete a limited number of custom workouts.
You are responsible for reviewing custom workout settings before use, including:
- Workout duration
- Warm-up and cool-down periods
- Work and recovery intervals
- Number of rounds
- Workout name
Do not include medical information, unlawful material, abusive wording or another person’s personal information in a custom workout name.
Limits on the number of saved custom workouts may change. We will explain material changes before they affect existing users where reasonably possible.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use JEBA for an unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose
- Attempt to access another person’s account or information
- Circumvent security, access controls or feature restrictions
- Interfere with the operation or availability of the service
- Introduce malware or malicious code
- Probe, scan or test the service for vulnerabilities without permission
- Scrape or extract data at an unreasonable scale
- Reverse engineer the service except where the law expressly permits it
- Use automated systems in a way that places an unreasonable burden on JEBA
- Impersonate another person or organisation
- Misrepresent your relationship with JEBA
- Use JEBA to harass, threaten or harm another person
- Encourage unsafe exercise or dangerous behaviour
- Infringe intellectual-property, privacy or other legal rights
We may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate action to protect JEBA and its users.
10. Community and shared content
JEBA is being developed as a community exercise-bike platform. Community features may not yet be available.
If JEBA introduces profiles, shared workouts, comments, challenges or other user-to-user features, you will remain responsible for content you submit or share.
You must not share content that:
- Is illegal, fraudulent, threatening or abusive
- Promotes dangerous exercise practices
- Encourages self-harm or eating disorders
- Discriminates against or harasses another person
- Contains another person’s private information without permission
- Infringes copyright, trade marks or other rights
- Contains spam, scams or misleading promotions
- Is sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate for the service
- Attempts to manipulate streaks, achievements or community results dishonestly
We may introduce separate Community Guidelines before these features launch.
We may review, restrict or remove content where reasonably necessary to operate the service, enforce these Terms, protect users or comply with the law.
11. Rights in your content
You retain ownership of original content you create.
If you choose to publish or share content through a future JEBA community feature, you give JEBA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the feature.
This licence ends when the content is deleted, except where:
- Another user has already shared or incorporated it into permitted content
- A limited copy must be retained for security, legal or backup purposes
- The content has been anonymised and can no longer reasonably identify you
You must have the necessary rights and permissions for anything you submit.
12. JEBA’s intellectual property
JEBA and its licensors own the service’s software, design, branding, logos, original content and other intellectual property.
These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use JEBA for lawful personal purposes.
They do not transfer ownership of JEBA or its intellectual property to you.
You must not use JEBA’s name, logo or branding in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or official affiliation without written permission.
13. Feedback
If you provide suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them to develop and improve JEBA without payment or obligation to you.
This does not give us ownership of unrelated materials or confidential information you clearly identify as such.
14. Free and paid features
JEBA currently provides free functionality. We may introduce optional paid features or subscriptions in the future.
Before charging you, we will clearly explain:
- The price
- What is included
- The billing period
- Whether payment renews automatically
- How to cancel
- Any applicable trial terms
You will not be charged merely because you have an existing free account.
Additional payment or subscription terms may apply if paid features launch. Your statutory consumer rights will not be affected.
15. Third-party services
JEBA relies on third-party services for functions such as hosting, authentication, databases, error monitoring and email delivery.
JEBA may also link to external websites or services. We do not control external content and are not responsible for it merely because a link appears within JEBA.
Your use of a third-party service may be governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
16. Service availability and changes
We aim to provide JEBA with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
The service may occasionally be unavailable because of:
- Maintenance
- Security updates
- Technical faults
- Provider outages
- Changes to browsers, devices or operating systems
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control
We may update, add, remove or redesign features. Where a change materially reduces an account feature on which users reasonably rely, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.
Nothing in this section removes your statutory consumer rights.
17. Suspending or closing accounts
We may restrict, suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary because:
- These Terms have been seriously or repeatedly breached
- The account presents a security risk
- The account is being used unlawfully or fraudulently
- The action is required by law
- Continued access may cause harm to JEBA, its users or another person
- The service or relevant feature is being discontinued
Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to appeal or correct the problem. Immediate action may be taken where necessary to address an urgent security, legal or safety risk.
18. Closing your account
You may request permanent account deletion through the JEBA account area.
You will be asked to confirm deletion to reduce the risk of accidental account loss.
Account deletion normally removes your active:
- Account and profile
- Preferences
- Saved rides
- Custom workouts
- Onboarding information
Deletion cannot normally be reversed. Limited information may remain temporarily in backups or where required for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
19. Our responsibility
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts responsibility for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Breach of statutory consumer rights
- Any other responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for loss or damage that:
- Was not reasonably foreseeable
- Was caused solely by unsafe or defective exercise equipment outside our control
- Resulted from disregarding medical advice
- Resulted from using JEBA in an unlawful or clearly unsafe way
- Was caused by an event outside our reasonable control and could not reasonably have been prevented
JEBA is provided for personal and non-commercial use. We are not responsible for business losses arising from personal use of the service.
These Terms do not require you to surrender rights or remedies provided by law.
20. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how it is used.
By using JEBA, you acknowledge that you have been given an opportunity to read the Privacy Policy. Acceptance of these Terms does not constitute consent to optional analytics, marketing or other processing where separate consent is legally required.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect:
- New or changed features
- Security requirements
- Legal or regulatory changes
- Changes to our business or service providers
- Improvements in clarity
We will publish the updated Terms with a revised date.
If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable notice through JEBA, by email or by another appropriate method.
Continued use after the change takes effect will mean the updated Terms apply. If you do not agree to a material change, you may stop using JEBA and delete your account.
22. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the law where you live. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from bringing proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve any concern informally.
23. General provisions
If part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
A delay in enforcing a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our permission. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a legitimate business restructuring, provided this does not reduce your legal protections.
